The flag code is a guideline from whoever wrote the flag code. It's not statutory...and in fact failure to follow the "flag code" could be simple ignorance of the "flag code" or outright dismissal of the "flag code". Either way, free expression is free expression, we're supposed to have it, and any suggestion that anybody "should" do anything during the rendering of the National Anthem is meaningless in light of what free speech and free expression really means.ConsRule » 22 Nov 2022, 8:01 am » wrote: ↑ I've never been a big fan of him either. As for the question Icky thought was interesting, all it takes is a minute to look at the US Flag Code to get an answer to that burning question. It states that during the rendition of the National Anthem, those present should stand and render the proper salute. So, unless the singer is standing in your living room, there is no "requirement" to stand.
Why are liberals too **** lazy to do a little research?
So FAUXNEWS and Dan **** can piss and moan all day long about John Mellencamp. If we're looking at behaviors that are actually destructive and damaging to this country, we oughta be looking first at the history of FAUXNEWS, the behavior of the Republican Party, particularly over the past six years, but going all the way back to Nixon, if we're being honest about it. There's your research and history.
